Omg Stop Youre Gonna Choke Again

Yous would probably not ever want to go shopping with me.  I am not a "let's go shopping together" kind of daughter! I really don't like to store! I store at a handful of stores, but that's information technology!  If a shop has the words pottery or crate or Dwelling or vintage in it… well, bring information technology on! Other than that, I am a lone wolf shopper! If I take to shop, I hunt downward my merchandise prey lonely. That fashion I have time to think and strategize about the mission!  In… assault… out! No fooling around. Precision and quick strikes!  Browsing is a very bad give-and-take to me! I practise my browsing in magazines, non stores! And long check out lines make me want to leave everything in my cart and head for the nearest go out!

This week I had a shopping feel that stopped me in my tracks… shopping cart and all!

I had to brand a trip to a "big box shop". UGH! THE  worst!!! What is information technology about malls and big, large stores that suck the life out of me? They make me tired! Well, anyway… I needed several items and off I went with a shopping list and my fastest sneakers on!

On my shopping list was a white quilt. I wanted an cheap one to sew into a seat pad for my back porch swing. While perusing the bedding aisle, I came across a pillow that said… every bit proud and sweet as possible… OMG! It was all girly and cute and pink and glittery and propped upwardly in the back-to-higher isle! OMG! This little pillow, all beautiful and oh, then girly…made me pause and feel then pitiful! It literally had a visceral effect on me. The pit of my tummy sank, my mouth dropped open up and I was shocked! I wondered how many little girls or college girls or grown up women would be thrilled to find that beautiful and girly OMG pillow!

The pillow was adorable, but the message was non… and I am not being overly dramatic! Let's look at why this electric current and catchy phrase is so so wrong!

Why and then, do we employ God's name and Jesus' proper name as a curse… as empty words? God says when we do so we will Not Be HELD GUILTLESS!

The bible is full of verses that tell usa that God's proper name is special… holy… and should non be used in a way that would discredit, and disgrace and injure His grapheme.

I was in a long line at a shop (UGH!) and in that location was a adult female in back of me lament almost the wait. She finished  her rant with "Oh, God!"  I turned effectually and said, "You ARE calling on the right Ane, you are only using the wrong tone". Should we not stand up upward for God'due south name? Of all the things we protect shouldn't that be the near important? If you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior YOU bear His proper name! You are a CHRISTian. Isn't it important to protect your family name?

I honestly think if people knew how insufferable using God's name was, they would cease! It is worse than using the most foul and vulgar words.

I prayed for every daughter or adult female who would purchase that sweet and sparkly and horrible OMG pillow. I prayed they would come to know that OMG is non a beautiful saying, simply a curse! I pray that we all know the dazzler and grace and mercy and Salvation backside the great and glorious name of GOD!

I pray we give God'southward name the respect it deserves and treat it as if we were walking on holy ground!
